I need to trim the wires, and zip-tie those bastards up. It's a 5600KV motor and really gets up and goes. I ran head on into a curb after the on/off switch decided to turn off at full throttle.

I should have secured it a little better, but the only thing broken was the driveshaft... well, bent.

Jesus Howie, you shoulda set up the electrics and cut the wiring to fit a little closer. then maybe a couple zip ties will work, not on that mess tho. do some trimmin....

I was really ready to see what it would do man. The on/off switch was wedged between the esc and receiver. Somehow it came out... and turned itself off.

The guy I got it from had a 17T Amber Speed Gems with the stock LRP Runner speed control. It was melting the D-ring style diffs with that setup, and I didn't even notice that the endbell had melted through to the bearings at some point in time. It never once heated up for me, but I tore the whole thing down and rebuilt the diffs and replaced bearings and such before I even ran it the first time. The bearing came out of the endbell and it stopped running. The motor was barely over ambient temperature, which was around 70.

I cleaned the wiring up.

Dude, quit being a cheap ass and buy a fuckin' TC5...

Seriously, the TC4's handling and steering SUCK, that's why they didn't last long.

:fu:

I know about the lipo's... There's going to be a HUGE drop in lipo prices soon, so I'm waiting it out. Until then, I have about 5 or 6 packs nice and charged up.

Well cjeap ass or not Howie, you will be plumb giddy with the lipos. I wasted $139 on a 3s liipo and it is the neatest thing I have seen thus far. I say wasted because it renders my Slash useless withthe 5200kv Venom in it. So, I bet you'd get 4Wsmoke with your rig. Either that or an exercise in diff parts replacement. But 2S for sure.

TCS huh.........Howard you are just evil for planting the notion of a sedan into my head.

Honestly, buying lipo's means buying a new charger, new power supply, new batteries, new... etc.

The Hyperion EoS0610iNET's are down to 140.00 now. That's my next purchase, well, and a power supply for it.

The batteries are about to take a complete nose-dive in price, even the good ones, trust me. I've looked into getting the 2S for it, because the sidewinder and the 5700KV do not get along well with 3S. The sidewinder is going to be going into the AX-10 with an outrunner as soon as I get ahold of a Mamba Max Pro for the TC3. I kinda just bought this stuff to hold me over on the MM Pro, so dumping a shit ton of money into batteries for something that's going to be completely different in a month or two doesn't make sense to me... maybe I'm just trying to keep the Picco'd NTC3 faster for now, maybe not.

Rest assured, the diffs will be my only setback on this car. I've actually thought about having a few sets machined and heat treated, they are WEAK. They're the weak point of ALL NTC3's and TC3's, and remain to be the reason that they are not competitive anymore. I could smoke a serpent/mugen/xray with the NTC3 for about 10 minutes before my diffs melt, they just can't handle the power of today's motors.

I've done my homework for now, and I'm satisfied with my NiMh... All of my batteries are Lightspeed batteries as well... so, they're not your normal run-of-the-mill NiMh's anyways... Three of them peak out at over 9 volts, and the others are around 8.7-8.8V @ roughly 3750-3800Mah. Not cheapo batts by any standards. They're also about three years old, so I know that batteries are in my future.
